Behind the story of Podmoney

Podmoney was founded by a group of young individuals, both German and non-German nationals, who met at university. The idea for Podmoney came from one of our team members who came to Germany for his master’s degree and faced significant challenges opening a bank account and a blocked account due to his limited German language skills. With the help of his close friends, he managed to overcome these difficulties. This experience inspired the group to think: why not help others in similar situations? By creating a service company, they realized they could assist more people and make their lives easier. That’s how Podmoney was born, a trusted partner for financial services that simplify the journey for everyone.

Podmoney’s name is inspired by the word “pod,” which can refer to a seed case from leguminous plants like peas that splits open when ripe. Similarly, Podmoney is like a “money pod” a flexible, useful unit that provides various financial services. These include Block Accounts, Current Accounts, Health Insurance and Mobile Phone Contracts.

Eik Langenkämper

CEO
Mr. Langenkämper is currently in the final phase of his studies at the Flensburg University of Applied Sciences, Germany, where he is completing his Bachelor’s degree in Business Management. He is combining his studies with the FinTech startup Podmoney, which supports international students and professionals in navigating the German financial and bureaucratic landscape.
Throughout his academic journey, he has gained valuable experience in the areas of business development, digital platforms, and startup strategys.

Moritz Greisinger

CFO
Mr. Greisinger successfully completed his degree in Business Administration at Flensburg University of Applied Sciences. With a strong academic foundation in finance and controlling, he has since gained practical experience as a controller in the private sector.
At Podmoney, he is responsible for financial planning and controlling, supporting the development of a sustainable and scalable business model. His expertise lies in financial analysis, budgeting, and liquidity management – all essential pillars for ensuring Podmoney’s long-term financial stability and growth. Through his structured and data-driven approach, he contributes significantly to the strategic and operational success of the company.

Sagor Anower Hossain

COO
As Chief Operating Officer at Podmoney, Mr. Sagor oversees the strategic integration of sales, communication, and global logistics. He brings a sophisticated international perspective to the leadership team, backed by a robust academic foundation. By leveraging his extensive international exposure, Mr. Sagor transforms high-level academic theory into streamlined operational excellence, ensuring Podmoney’s continued growth in a competitive landscape.

Nils Matthiesen

Nils Matthiesen is studying Applied Computer Science at Flensburg University of Applied Sciences and already has valuable practical experience from well-known companies such as IBM and Lufthansa. With a strong IT background and a sound understanding of software development and system architectures, he works on innovative solutions and digital prototypes. He is particularly interested in practical applications and the development of user-friendly digital tools.
