Behind the story of Podmoney

Podmoney was founded by a group of young individuals, both German and non-German nationals, who met at university. The idea for Podmoney came from one of our team members who came to Germany for his master’s degree and faced significant challenges opening a bank account and a blocked account due to his limited German language skills. With the help of his close friends, he managed to overcome these difficulties. This experience inspired the group to think: why not help others in similar situations? By creating a service company, they realized they could assist more people and make their lives easier. That’s how Podmoney was born, a trusted partner for financial services that simplify the journey for everyone.

Podmoney’s name is inspired by the word “pod,” which can refer to a seed case from leguminous plants like peas that splits open when ripe. Similarly, Podmoney is like a “money pod” a flexible, useful unit that provides various financial services. These include Block Accounts, Current Accounts, Health Insurance and Mobile Phone Contracts.
